Internal Drains

Internal float drains are fitted into the bowl of a coalescing filter or moisture separator.  Within the device is a float that normally seats on a small orifice. When condensate enters the drain the float rises off its seat, exposing the orifice and allowing liquid to discharge. As the liquid level drops, the float re-seats and seals the orifice.  No compressed air vents in the process.
These types of automatic filter drains are inexpensive but if not changed regularly they are prone to clogging up which typically means the filter discharges air. Each compressor manufacturer uses a different type of internal drain so its important that the correct one is fitted so contact us today and we will be happy to help and supply the correct drain valve.
