Desiccant Dryers
Desiccant air dryers adsorb moisture from the compressed air onto a desiccant material in a reversible process that then dries the desiccant material when purged to remove any moisture. They can produce low dew points to -70 degrees Celsius so they are a good choice in very cold working conditions or when manufacturing processes require extremely dry air.
- Heatless dryers use only compressed air as a purge
- Blower purge dryers use a combination of air
- from an external blower, heat and minimal compressed air
- Heat of compression dryers use the heat of the compression
